Moodboards

 The conventions that I have for my mood-board mainly follows the genre of horror. Horror is a genre that mainly that is meant to startle, scare or shock audiences, it’s usually a theme that is meant to catch the audience off guard. What makes me interested in this genre is the aura of shock and fear one can experience from it, you are even able to strike fear into an audience without making any sort of jump-scares. Even an atmosphere can make someone feel unease or feel uncomfortable, and usually the main theme of a horror movie is either complete despair against something you know you can’t fight or win against. And another recurring theme in horror movies is colors, the colors that a horror villain usually has, represents malicious intent or danger.  Why is Sound or lack of sound important to a scene in a film? 1. It’s important because it adds more to the atmosphere and makes the scene feel more alive, compared to a scene without a sound. Lack of sounds make the scene feel more empty and soulless in a way. Which is why I think sound is one of the most important things during a scene in a film because it adds much more emotion in a way. 2. Explain why it was or was not difficult to come up with sound ideas for a story that would not have visuals.   If I had to be honest, it wasn’t really that difficult because you are able to be more creative without having to get sounds that focus on something visually. In my opinion, this project would be much harder if we had to find specific sounds for a visual scene compared to one without any scenes, because we are allowed  more freedom and creativity. 3.
