Representation Blog Post

Yes it’s fair, and no. It doesn’t follow a stereotype of any short, doesn’t focus on race or traditions of the sort. For our main character, we are not representing anything really in terms of representation however, the character is an African American at best, No I believe we do not have to do any edits to improve our character, we believe he’s perfect the way he is, as he’s simply to be designed simply.

Supporting Character Analysis

Due to us having only one single character in the film we will describe the props. Knife. The murder weapon and is constantly seen in the opener as something normal until slight blood can be seen on it. Plate and Poptart wrapper: these two are together because they enact the same purpose together and not to mention meant to be thrown away with the knife in order to show signs of suspicion. Cherry Poptart: the reason why we picked cherry is to represent violence or blood and such. Toothbrush: used to distract the fact that the main character has bloody attire and such, the blood on the tooth brush is small but noticeable, to showcase slight signs of more violence. New clothing: will be shown at the same time as the toothbrush scene to hint what’s seen instead of the toothbrush. Blood-stained clothing: to show the actions the character did and to give us more further hints about his true nature and such. Newspaper: meant to normal however is meant to make the viewer a bit uncomfortable

Main Character Analysis

The Main character lacks a name. There’s very little information regarding the character and his motives. Although many details can be seen through the film regarding how they act. Her characteristics are that of a normal adult man that appears to just be a normal person that’s with society and such. Although he’s cunning, clever, sneaky and cautious while blending in with the masses. He wears a pretty average attire that being  a button up and a pair of pants, our opener will describe it as office clothes at best. ( if we exclude the tie. ) No dialogue is presented but we ( as in me along with Patrick and Payton ) plan to make him appear flowy, calm and pretty grounded and mature for his age. However his mental state takes a 180 as the opener progresses he’s more altered and illogical. Irrational and sharp, his motivation at the moment is to rub away from consequences by getting rid of any evidence. Such as the murder of his own family that he tries to hide and such. This is the summ

Costuming Blog Post.

Image
In terms of costumes for our flim, the main character in it would be wearing a white shirt and khakis, the white shirt is meant to resemble purity as if nothing is malicious with the character, and to showcase a more darker side when signs of blood can be seen on their shirt. Indicating a more sinister nature, they have black hair that is usually the average type you would see from a male and such. His Khakis would be a major part of the character as it gives them their identity and such and helps showcase a more deeper layer of mystery behind that said character. We chose these sort of things for this character to keep it simple and to basically give the character a sort of innocent vibe while in reality, they are very much the opposite with motives that are clearly not good news or a good sign. Basically it’s like a wolf in sheep’s clothing in a way.

Preparing to Film Blog Post.

The easy parts about us preparing for filming would most likely be getting all the materials required for the production, such as costumes, filming, along with other props and such. The hard part will most likely be us trying to find the perfect moments and execution in terms of shots or angles in the film. For our roles . Patrick will do the editing, by cutting out any long scenes or unnecessary slopes that may get in the way of filming, while Payton will do filming to capture all of the shots and keep other important moments in terms of filming, and my task will be setting up the location and execution of the film, along with some shots coming from different houses on the inside in order to try and make it fit into the story as much as possible now, I will provide a brief description about how the actors, costumes, props, locations, dates and times, along with scripts and film equipment will be obtained and created before the filming starts. Actors: right now we are trying to see if

Initial Storyboard

Image
How we created the story board was through the use of drawings and such specifically led pencil. How it flows is that throughout any of the shots seen here they act like a sort of skip in a way to the next in order to create a sort of sudden sort of transition that the audience normally would not be able to capture or understand at first. For the first shot, pop tarts can be seen coming out the toaster, and then a man’s hand. And be seen throwing away the wrapper of a pop tart, with a knife being inside the trash. Which mainly works as a pov shot, next it cuts adroitly to a man putting a toothbrush away with clothes in the sink, and for the next shot, a pile of clothes can be seen with blood on the them, next the man grabs the tv renovate and turns the tv off, next to the tv are toys covered in blood, next the man opens the door and grabs a piece of newspaper,  then in a long shot. The man is placing a suit case in the trunk, in another shot. He goes inside the car, and last but not
